EASTENDERS star Jessie Wallace delighted fans by sharing a childhood photo today.
The 50-year-old looks unrecognizable in a moment captured in 1975 when she was four years old as she hugged a monkey at Walthamstow Market.
She jokingly captioned the footage: “I’m the one in the flares!”
Her followers have flocked to comment on it, with one person writing: “Then and now you are absolutely beautiful ❤.”
Another added: “That’s a great photo so cute x”
While another wrote: “Absolute cuteness, I’m torn between who is cuter than you or the monkey 😂❤.”
Jessie, whose real name is Karen, was born in 1971 in Enfield and was raised by her father after her parents divorced when she was three.
Her fans were in vogue when she turned 50 last year – thanks to her youthful looks.
Jessie has been an EastEnders fixture – on and off – for over two decades.
She first came to Albert Square as the loud-mouthed Kat with the rest of the Slater family in 2000.
The character has been at the center of some of the film’s biggest storylines, including when she is revealed to be the mother of ‘sister’ Zoe.
She also won the hearts of viewers when she was paired with Queen Host Vic Alfie Moon, with the pair even packing a spin-off series called Redwater.
