Naturally, fans celebrated the 2018 announcement trailer that confirmed the game actually existed. However, there hasn’t been much news on the title since then. In fact, there weren’t even a lot of updates before this E3, although Starfield did get quite a bit of attention.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, often shortened to Skyrim, has delighted Bethesda fans for years. Skyrim explored the concept of an open-world game before the iconic The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, offering seemingly limitless content and even spawning a good number of memes. Skyrim even expands to consoles and adds to its already vast world with DLC. Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition launches in November 2021 and includes a decade of content. However, fans are still wondering what the sequel will bring.

Here’s everything we know about The Elder Scrolls 6.

Bethesda has a full hand of Starfield. However, Howard assures fans that working on Starfield also surpasses the Elder Scrolls because of their shared engine, Creation Engine 2. Starting with Starfield means finding an incentive to work on The Elder Scrolls. 6 is a smoother process than it is. no additional steps.

Some hope for an early 2020 release date, but it looks closer to the middle of the decade as Starfield won’t launch until 2022. Game industry insider Tyler McVicker even tweeted that he expected it to arrive in 2027 at the latest.

To be fair, Howard says they have plans to make The Elder Scrolls 6 a the game lasts 10 years. Creating such a lasting game is no easy feat and probably took a long time to create.

Skyrim has clearly stayed relevant throughout console releases as a bestseller of basically everything it’s released – a trend that has continued since its launch. In this sense, Howard and the other Bethesda moderators hope that The Elder Scrolls 6 will follow in its footsteps.
