ZeniMax’s latest Elder Scrolls Online DLC has arrived on consoles today, bringing the first part of the year-long Legacy of the Bretons story to all platforms.
The first DLC of the year from ZeniMax Online Studios, Rising tide contains two dungeons for players to explore and sets the stage for the upcoming Breton game High Island Extension planned for June.
However, given the state of PC servers over the past few weeks, ZeniMax warns of some known issues that more players on Xbox or PlayStation may encounter when launching Ascending Tide. The PC megaservers were riddled with rampant problems resulting from what game director Matt Firor called “bad […] network connection.”
ZeniMax seems poised to avoid this issue with the DLC launch on console today, telling players to expect longer than normal load times to apply “updates related to account-wide achievements.” However, once they are past those initial startup load times, they should return to normal.
“If this is your first time logging in after downloading the update, it will likely take longer than expected to get into the game due to backend account updates related to account-wide achievements. Once this completes, all future load times should return to normal.”
