The End of the Milky Way Crispy Rolls? Fans launch petition as popular bar closes

Fans of Mars’ Milky Way Crispy Rolls have expressed disappointment at the news that the chocolate treat has been discontinued.

The popular bars are known for the crunchy biscuit centre, whipped cream and milk chocolate coating.

In a statement issued to The, a Mars spokesman said: “Although Milky Way Crispy Rolls are currently in a galaxy far, far away, we’re delighted to announce many delicious alternatives such as Milky Way Magic Stars, Maltesers, Mars and of course the traditional Milky Way.

“The love for Milky Way Crispy Rolls was out of this world and we certainly took note of it!”

Fans have started a petition for Bring Back The Mars Milky Way Crispy Rolls and taken the fate of the bar into their own hands.

The petition is picking up speed with over 2,000 signatures so far.

It states: “Many people may have noticed that this product has not been sold in stores or online because it has been discontinued, which is very disappointing.”

“This product is a very popular product that a lot of people love and it’s a nice low calorie snack. This product has been around for quite some time and it’s disappointing that Mars Chocolate has discontinued it after all this time.

“This is a product that I really enjoyed purchasing and I want people to sign this petition so hopefully we can get this product back into production.”

Shoppers also took to social media to express their outrage at the news, with one Twitter user writing: “What have we done so wrong as humans that we deserve Mars Delights and Crispy Buns to be discontinued? [sic].”

Another wrote: “The discontinuation of Crispy Rolls is almost as bad as Mars Delights is gone.”

While another said: “I’ve let a lot of injustices slide over the years but enough is enough. Are you hiring Milky Way Crispy Rolls?” The End of the Milky Way Crispy Rolls? Fans launch petition as popular bar closes
