Wheel of Fortune viewers were shocked when contestants struggled to guess the last word of a classic phrase.
“A feather in your cap” is an English idiom meaning an achievement or honor of which one can be proud.
However, Tuesday’s participants were not as familiar with the phrase and could not correctly guess the correct answer.
It took eight rounds and 10 tries to solve it.
The woman in question, Laura, asked to solve the sentence and first guessed: “Another feather in your hat.”
It then went to Christopher, who guessed a letter “G” and then a “D”.
Going back to Laura, she guessed, “Another feather in your lap,” and later tapped “map.”
It wasn’t until a few minutes later that contestant Thomas, who missed a few laps because he was “broke,” guessed the correct answer.
The clip quickly went viral and both viewers and casual social media users couldn’t handle the time it took contestants to come up with the correct answer.
“This lady needs some words in her life,” one user joked, while another said, “The next guess would have been ‘gap’!”
One shocked user said: “Is this real life?!”
“Jesus, these people are stupid… CAP! CAP! CAP!” commented an irritated user.
The TodayInSports Twitter account called it the “worst 2 minutes in Wheel of Fortune history.”

Some people defended the game show contestants, saying, “Only if you were born in the 1960s or earlier would you have ever heard that line.”
“I guess she’s never heard the expression. Sort of,” added another.
One fan said: “Good natured laugh is one thing. Damn, they were laughing at themselves.
“I have fun with players and occasionally tease them, but when something goes wrong I sympathize with them and try to heal the wounds on and off camera. So, yes, it was an oddly entertaining mystery and it’s okay to laugh at the situation. But have a little heart. ” he added.
It wasn’t the only Wheel of Fortune failure this year.
On February 23, a contestant failed to decipher a sentence from Jurassic Park.
During a showbiz puzzle, the phrase “Jurassic Park movies” came up.
However, one woman tapped “Jurassic Park Body” instead. On Twitter, viewers immediately laughed about it.
