The FAI is not gender balanced with too many boys in green

The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) is struggling to meet a government mandate to have 40 per cent of its board of directors made up of women next year, jeopardizing ongoing government financial support.

At yesterday’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Round Room at Mansion House in Dublin, the re-election of five male board members was adjourned to allow the association to “increase the pool of female candidates”.
