The failure of a traffic light in Brighton causes a huge traffic jam

HUNDREDS of motorists rampaged this morning as roadworks significantly disrupted Monday morning commutes.

Cars drove bumper to bumper along Dyke Road, Brighton, from Seven Dials roundabout to Woodruff Avenue.

The AA already reported “serious delays” at 6.34am today due to a traffic signal failure.

Road works in the area are expected to last until September 15.

Onlookers watched from area businesses as car horns blared while frustrated drivers waited at makeshift lights.

Queues have been seen between Upper Drive and Dyke Road.
