DESPITE meeting five of the Premier League’s best midfielders, another striker was voted Player of the Month this month.
Manchester United fans will be delighted after new Man City striker Erling Haaland clinched the title last month.
That’s what EA Sports announced Marcus Rasford is FIFA 23 September Player of the Month, beating top player Kevin De Bruyne.
While Player of the Month is determined solely by fan votes, Rashford had a great September and well deserved the title.
He has been voted man of the match twice this season – once in the team’s 2-1 win over Liverpool and again in the 3-1 win over Arsenal.
His Arsenal game was one of his strongest to date, in which he not only scored two of the three goals but also assisted in the last one.
Rashford has also shown himself to be a man of the people, taking the government to task over free school meals.
Rashford originally had an overall rating of 82, which was downgraded to 81 this month.
This makes the Player of the Month card even more powerful with a three-point boost.
Here are Rashford’s base stats compared to his Player of the Month card:
- Total – Base = 81 / PotM = 84 (+3)
- Tempo – Base = 87 / PotM = 88 (+1)
- Shoot – Base = 82 / PotM = 84 (+2)
- Pass – Base = 75 / PotM = 79 (+4)
- Dribbling – Base = 81 / PotM = 83 (+2)
- Defense – Base = 41 / PotM = 46 (+5)
- Physicality – Base = 71 / PotM = 77 (+6)
Rashford’s new Player of the Month card is available in FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) packs from now until the end of the month.
After that, they are only available at an inflated price on the in-game transfer market.
