FIREFIGHTERS fought a fire that broke out in a store’s storage room.

Crews from Brighton and Hove were called to the Sackville Road scene around 8.10am this morning, with teams using breathing apparatus and hose reels to try to put out the fire.

A passerby said they saw fire trucks blocking the street and firefighters darting in and out of the property as smoke poured out of the building.

A spokeswoman for the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the fire was accidental.
