APEX Legends Season 14 is upon us, but there’s more to come.
After this massive update, Respawn has a lot more to release, and the developer has given us a preview.
Cross-progression is a big request from developers and players alike, and Respawn is working on that.
Unfortunately, Apex Legends was not built to support it.
The importance and desire to play on Switch and PC, for example, has only recently become evident, so it will take a lot of time and effort.
Design Director Evan Nikolich spoke personally about how he wishes he could continue the games he plays on his Nintendo Switch on the go at home on his PC.
Gifting is coming to Apex too, so you can give away your skins, voice lines, and other cosmetics for characters you don’t use to your friends who might.
This could also include Apex Coins.
It could theoretically allow you to trade items with players, allowing unused cosmetics to be exchanged for wanted ones.
Finally, the Charge Rifle is on the balance list.
This sniper rifle has been a favorite among pros and average players alike since the launch of Season 13 and could use some tweaks.
This is because it’s widely considered to be one of the best weapons in the game.
The developers refer to the weapon as “spiky,” meaning they know it can feel scary when you come across it.
Although it is powerful, the developer believes that changes need to be made
We don’t know when this balancing will take effect, but it won’t be during Season 14.
There’s a lot more in the pipeline regarding Apex Legends Season 14 – check out our hub article for the lowdown.
