The Henfield Home Staging Consultant wins big at national awards

A HOME staging consultant celebrates after winning two categories in a national awards competition.

Jane Lee from Henfield has been shortlisted for two of the House Wow Property Services Awards before they go to the public vote.

She was thrilled to win both Rising Star Home Stager Of The Year and Occupied Staging; and Best Production and Photography Team of the Year with Elissa Jane Diver Interiors Photography.

Jane, 55, said: “It’s incredible to win both categories that I’ve competed in.

“I was very happy to have been shortlisted, to also get public support is a great feeling.”

The project, which won both categories, remains one of her favorite transformations to this day.

Jane added: “Very keen to maximize the wow factor before their property went on the market, the owners booked my gold package which includes a professional photo shoot.

“I cleaned up and rearranged what they already had and styled it with flowers and some new plants and accessories – it always makes a big difference.

“They were rewarded with instant viewings after investing just 0.1 percent of their asking price.”

Home staging aims to increase viewings and listings by creating an appearance that appeals to a wide range of potential buyers.

Jane said: “My way of working is cost effective and environmentally friendly.

“While it’s growing in popularity in the UK, most sellers still don’t run stages, giving those who do a huge advantage.

“The photographer I work with, Elissa Jane Diver, says I make her job a breeze, while her stunning images take my staging and styling to another level. We are a great team.”

Jane offers consultations, hands-on staging and professionally styled photoshoots.

Advice is given on things like decoration, space layout and function, decluttering, depersonalization and interior style.

She started her business in 2019 after studying Interior Design at City College Brighton, now Greater Brighton Metropolitan College, and the CHSSP Professional Home Staging and Interior Styling course.

She was previously a journalist and worked as a news reporter at The Argus before moving on to national lifestyle, home and property magazines.

The House Wow Property Services Awards 2022 celebrated the best residential property services in the UK, including home staging, interior design and property photography.
