The hidden iPhone trick turns your Christmas messages into something very special – your friends will be amazed

IF you want to make your Christmas greetings extra special this year, you should try this clever iPhone hack.

It will definitely add some wow factor to your texts.

And could save you if you forgot to send a card too.

But it only works between iPhones – which excludes recipients with an Android device.

Thanks to Apple’s Messages app, you can make your Christmas message flashy and fun with clever animations.

These can obviously be used for all sorts of occasions, but one TikToker reminded us that they’re ideal for the festive season.

MQTechTok posted a video on the platform to show how easy the trick is.

First, you need to open the Messages app.

From your contacts, select the person you want to send the SMS to.

Then type in your Christmas greeting.

Now comes the special part – don’t hit send.

Instead, hold down the Send button and a screen should appear that says Send with effect.

Tap the Screen option.

Then slide to the fireworks animation.

This one is probably best for Christmas, but you can of course pick any you like.

When you are happy with your selection, tap the Submit button.

Now the friend or family member has something that will catch their attention.

So why not try it?

And to make things even easier, don’t forget that you can send a message to multiple people at the same time – even with the animations.

Just go to the main page of the Messages app and tap on the write icon in the top right.

Select everyone you want to send it to and repeat everything above.
