The hidden tap trick will instantly make your Android phone faster — and it’s completely free

If your Android smartphone is suddenly slowing down, there are actually a few tricks you can try to speed things up.
There are the usual tips you’ve probably tried before, like wiping data.
But there are some other interesting settings under the hood of your Android smartphone.
And they are actually invisible.
For example those nifty animations on your phone.
While they look good, they eat up some of your device’s system performance and can actually slow things down.
Zoom it out a bit and you might find things speed up slightly, according to TikToker chillrogg.
“If you have an Android, you have to try this,” he explains.
“It makes your phone feel a lot faster.”
To do this, open settings and go to Via phone at the bottom.

Next, select software information.
Well, that’s the unusual part – look for it build number and tap it several times.
You may be asked for your password or PIN at this point.
Doing that will unlock the special developer optionswhich you should now find at the bottom of the settings Side.
From there, scroll until you see Windows animation scale.
Change it from 1x to 0.5x.
Join in the same Transition animation scale and Animator Duration Dial.
Now you should hopefully have a small speed boost.

Of course, be careful with any other settings you mess with in Developer Options.
As the name on the tin suggests, these are mainly for experts, so it’s best not to change anything else.
