Before becoming a pop superstar, Kylie Minogue got her start on screen as feisty tomboy mechanic Charlene Mitchell in Neighbors.
Cast in 1986, she became a popular character alongside her screen partner Scott Robinson, played by Jason Donovan.
Her Wedding episode was seen by more than two million Australian viewers when it first aired in 1987 and later attracted nearly 20 million viewers when it was shown in the UK in 1988.
Minogue, 54, left the show in 1988, the same year she released her debut studio album, entitled Kylie.
With a string of hit albums and singles including “I Should Be So Lucky”, “Spinning Around” and “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”, she has become one of the biggest pop artists in the world.
The singer has also won a number of awards including a Grammy for Best Dance Recording in 2004 and three Brit Awards over the course of her career.

Alongside Minogue, Donovan also rose to fame in Neighbors after taking on the role of Scott from Darius Perkins in the second series of the series.
He starred on the show until 1989 before following in Minogue’s footsteps and pursuing a career in music.
His first album in 1989, Ten Good Reasons, reached number one in the UK and his subsequent albums were also successful.
Donovan, 54, has also appeared in several stage musicals, most prominently starring in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the early 1990s.
Before headlining blockbuster films, Margot Robbie played Donna Freedman on the Australian soap opera from 2008 to 2011.
The Queensland-born actress, 32, later starred in historical drama Pan Am and a number of films.
However, her breakthrough came in 2013 when she played Naomi Lapaglia alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street.
Since then, Robbie has starred in a number of leading roles including Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad franchise, Tonya Harding in I, Tonya, Queen Elizabeth I in Mary Queen of Scots and she and will portray the world famous doll in the upcoming Barbie movie.
Liam, Chris and Luke Hemsworth
The Hemsworth brothers all appeared on the Australian soap opera in the early days of their careers.
Youngest brother Liam, 32, played Josh Taylor from 2007-08, 38-year-old Chris starred in an episode as Jamie Kane, while eldest sibling Luke, 41, portrayed Nathan Tyson from 2001-2002.
They all had their own successful acting careers with Luke, best known for his role on Westworld as Ashley Stubbs.
Liam’s breakthrough came with The Last Song and his role as Gale Hawthorne in the Hunger Games film series.
While Chris became a Hollywood star after taking on the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Australian-British singer and actress Natalie Imbruglia, 47, was another star to appear on the soap opera in the early 1990s when she played Beth Brennan.
She has appeared in a number of shows and films including 2003’s Johnny English and has had a successful singing career.
Her most notable work came in 1997 when she covered the song Torn for her debut studio album Left Of The Middle.
Guy Pearce, 54, began his career as Mike Young, best friend of Donovan’s Scott and Minogue’s Charlene.
His role on the Australian soap opera helped launch his career in Hollywood, landing roles in big-budget films like LA Confidential, The Time Machine and Christopher Nolan’s Memento.
Jesse Spencer, 43, also played Billy Kennedy on the soap opera from 1994 to 2000 and appeared in 2005.
He then starred in longer series by playing Dr. Robert Chase in the medical drama House and Captain Matthew Casey in the drama Chicago Fire.
Singer Delta Goodrem also began her artistic career as shy high school student and aspiring singer Nina Tucker on the soap opera from 2002 to 2005.
While performing on the show, she released her debut album, Innocent Eyes, and has since produced six more studio albums.
Goodrem, 37, has also worked as a coach with The Voice Australia and The Voice Kids.
