Starting this Friday, you’ll be streaming Forbidden Horizon in the West Scores come with your machine hunts, both in and out of the game.
Guerrilla has partnered with Sony Music to release the soundtrack on all streaming platforms, so it’s up to you to choose.
The soundtrack will be released in three episodes. Episode 1 premieres this Friday and includes songs like Aloy’s Theme, a new song taking on her iconic theme for Horizon Forbidden West with vocals from Julie Elven and In the Flood, a song featured in the game’s opening title sequence with vocals by Ariana Gillis.
In the Flood was originally written by Guerrilla’s Lovisa Bergdahl, who teamed up with Oleksa Lozowchuk to co-produce the track.
The rest of the soundtrack will follow shortly after, with additional digital releases on March 11 and March 25.
Guerrilla music supervisor Lucas van Tol recently sat down with the composers of the soundtrack to talk about the creative process. In the video, Joris de Man, Niels van der Leest, Oleksa Lozowchuk, and the songwriting duo The Flight discuss how they created the music for the game, and look back at the scoring process for Horizon Zero Dawn.
