The husband of a teacher killed in the horrific attack on a Texas school on Tuesday has reportedly suffered a fatal heart attack.

Irma Garcia was shot and killed by 18-year-old Salvador Ramos in Uvalde, Texas this week.

Her grieving husband, Joe Garcia, has reportedly suffered a fatal heart attack.

The couple were high school sweethearts and had been married for 24 years.

They shared four children.

One of Irma’s nephews wrote on Facebook after the shooting: “She sacrificed herself to protect the children in her classroom. I ask that you keep my family, including her entire family, in your prayers.

“IRMA GARCIA IS HER NAME and she died a HERO, she was loved by many and will be truly missed,” she added.
