WHATSAPP is working on a way to message yourself from another linked device.
In the regular WhatsApp app, you can already start chats with yourself.
Just go into contacts and choose your own name.
Then you can talk to yourself, which is a great way to take notes.
But WhatsApp is now working on a way to view your own chat from a linked device.
The change was discovered by the Sleuths WABetaInfowho regularly scan the beta version of the app for new features.
“One of the missing features of Multi-Device is the ability to send messages from a connected device to itself,” explained WABetaInfo.
“WhatsApp is finally developing a solution that will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop Beta.”
The blog notes that WhatsApp Desktop lets you tap your personal chat to message yourself.
The catch is that the feature is currently in development, so it’s not yet available in beta to try out.
But WhatsApp will likely test it in beta at some point in the future before rolling it out to the general public.
