The Iranian man who inspired Spielberg’s The Terminal dies at Paris airport

An Iranian man who inspired Steven Spielberg’s The Terminal has died at Charles de Gaulle Airport, where he lived for 18 years.
erhan Karimi Nasseri died after a heart attack in Terminal 2F on Saturday, according to a Paris airport authority official.
Police and a medical team were called but were unable to save him, the official said.

According to the French press, Mr. Karimi Nasseri, believed to be born in 1945, lived in Terminal 1 of the airport from 1988 to 2006.
He has been reliving the airport in recent weeks, airport officials said.
His story inspired The Terminal starring Tom Hanks and a French film.
