The IT service company HCS from Waterford has a turnover of 5.2 million euros

Waterford-based IT services provider HCS has reported revenue growth for its 2022 fiscal year, up 26 percent year-on-year.

The company recorded sales of EUR 5.2 million for the year that ended in March 2022.

The growth was largely due to changing work practices at its clients, as many workers continue to choose hybrid and remote work.

HCS also noted a “growing focus” from its customers on adopting new technologies to reduce internal costs and protect data.

According to HCS, this was reflected in the demand for telecommunications, IT security, cloud infrastructure and productivity solutions.

“We offer and help with a wider range of cost-saving and productivity-enhancing services [customers] to grow and innovate,” said HCS Operations Manager Sean Hegarty.

Headquartered in Waterford, the company has offices in Dublin and Cork. HCS works with global technology giants such as Microsoft, Dell, Zultys and Fortinet.

In June, HCS announced that it would double its workforce to 60 with an investment of EUR 3.2 million.

Despite the recent spate of layoffs and hiring freezes in the technology space, the company remains optimistic about its future growth prospects and forecasts sales of 6.5 million euros for the current financial year.

“Remote and hybrid work practices, increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, and the ongoing shift to cloud-based technologies and services are creating positive momentum as we look forward to continued success into 2023,” said Mr. Hegarty.
