The Kaleidoscope Festival goes beyond the music: laughter yoga, rubber boot throwing and ziplining

The Kaleidoscope Music and Arts Festival have announced their brand new sport and wellness program for the 2022 edition at Russborough House, Co Wicklow from 24th to 26th June.

The program offers a wide range of activities as part of the program for those looking for a balanced weekend.

Laughter yoga, tug of war, pedal boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, zip lining, a daily 5K, archery, tai chi, drumming workshops, a skate park, castle, croquet and even gumboot tossing contests are all on offer.

Because Kaleidoscope markets itself as a family festival, there are activities for people of all ages and interests. Organizers said the festival, which aims to promote healthy and balanced lifestyles, is “the only music festival to have integrated a sports and wellness program into the celebrations”.

Organized 5K and 2.5K races start on the Saturday and Sunday before school events such as egg and spoon races and three-legged races. There are also family football matches planned, as well as rugby and gaelic football training sessions for those looking to improve their skills.

The brave can soar through the air on the zipline, scale new heights on the climbing wall, and see how good your aim can be as you learn about bow and arrows and the ancient art of archery.

Family bikes are also available on the nearby greenway, while water sports fans can also enjoy the 200-year-old secret tunnel from the property’s grounds to Blessington Lake, allowing revelers to kayak, boat on the lake or test your balance at the stand- up paddling.

The largest bouncy castle in the world returns to the festival also in 2022, which will surely tire the little ones and the little ones!

The Woodland Spa helps those looking for a relaxing weekend unwind with massages, while tai chi and meditation are also on offer to participants, not to mention laughter yoga for those in need of a giggle and a stretch.

Drumming workshops are also offered for those who want to both make music and enjoy the weekend’s acts.
