Moscow on Friday hit back at French actor Gérard Depardieu for his criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “crazy, unacceptable excesses” in Ukraine.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Depardieu – who was nominated for an Oscar and obtain his Russian passport in 2013 with a hug from Putin – did not understand the current situation “because he was not fully immersed in the political agenda”.
