The latest Elden Ring patch brings changes to PvP combat and more

ELDEN Ring 1.07 patch has just been released and there are some big changes coming, especially for the PvP community.

While the patch also introduces the usual magic and weapon buffs, it’s the changes to PvP game balances that will make the biggest difference.

The balance system has also undergone some major changes along with Colossal Weapons.

Here are the biggest changes made in Elden Ring Patch 1.07.

Separate damage scaling for PvP battles

The changes to damage scaling in PvP battles are already proving to be a hit with players.

In patch 1.07, damage scales differently depending on whether you’re fighting a computer-controlled NPC or another player.

Stamina attack power is increased when attacking another player who is blocking while basic attacks have increased balance damage.

Ashes of War has been toned down and offers lower attack power overall.

Dragon summons in PvP have also been corrupted, like Dragon Fire and Agheel’s Flame.

Decreased FP cost on a number of spells

In a more controversial change, a large number of spells have been improved by lowering their FP costs.

Other spells like Glintstone Pebble don’t see the reduced cost, instead gaining an attack buff.

If players didn’t previously think magic was overpowered, all the more reason they should.

Increased power or movement speed for skills

A large number of abilities gain increased attack power, movement speed, or both.

Stormcaller, Blood Tax, and Piercing Fang are three skills that have both received buffs.

Other skills have received these or other buffs, such as B. the ability to attack faster after using an item, or increased balance damage.

This has also increased usage in PvP, especially since Ashes of War was nerfed.

Armor stance increased

Armor receives a buff to the balance damage granted than ever before.

While many skills improve their balance, almost every armor has that extra buff that balances things out.

In PvE you can abuse abilities to get early stagger, but in PvP your opponent will have the same buffs, so be careful.

Colossal weapon attack and recovery speed buffs

While this isn’t the first time Colossal Swords and Weapons have received a buff, these changes will make them more competitive than ever.

Increased the speed of most attacks, with increased balance damage on two-handed attacks.

Hammers and Greathammers also get a balance damage buff, but it’s not all good.

Both the crouch thrust and the powerful rolling attack have been improved in terms of speed and hit detection. Another change for PvP battles.
