Next N64 Game Coming Soon Online Converter + Extension Pack To be The Legend of Zelda: The Mask of Majora.

Nintendo confirms the news via a tweet yesterday.

The action-adventure game is the sixth game in the Zelda series and was released in 2000, the second game in the series to use 3D graphics. Takes place two months after the events of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and finds Link in Termina, a parallel world to Hyrule. There, he learns that the world is in danger due to the moon’s collapse in three days, thanks to the Skull Kid being affected by Majora’s Mask.

The game has a three-day cycle that repeats and Link transforms into different creatures depending on the mask he’s wearing. The flow of time is controlled through the songs played on Ocarina. The different tunes will also open passages that lead to the four temple dungeons, each containing different enemies and puzzles.

It has been released many times over the years for other Nintendo consoles. In 2003 it came to the GameCube as part of The Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition, in 2009 it came to the Wii through the Virtual Console and through service again to the Wii U in 2016. It was also released released in 2015 for the 3DS as The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D (video above) and a special Nintendo 3DS XL was released with the game.

You can expect the game to release online via the Switch Online service + Expansion Packs in February. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is coming to Switch Online + Expansion Pack
