The Lord of the Rings Online is back with a rollback after nearly a day of downtime

After nearly a day of downtime to fix a major bug after Update 33 went live, The Lord of the Rings Online is now back, albeit with a rollback.
Things changed quickly when the team rolled out the update yesterday during the usual expected downtime. An hour after worlds reopened, they were taken down again”while we investigate an issue with Rune-keeper satchels.” Then, with continued downtime, there were hourly updates, th between them. The updates were optimistic about bringing the servers back up late last night, but that ultimately didn’t work out. de with a little more time in between. The updates were optimistic about bringing the servers back up late last night, but that ultimately didn’t work out. After getting back this morning, Standing Stone released more information as promised:
The game worlds were shut down on Wednesday April 20th to fix an issue where some Rune-keeper satchels were not appearing in inventory. We restored the game worlds from this morning to a previous state. Please note that your progress in the game world is back to where it was at 7:00 am Eastern (-4 GMT) this morning.
Rune-keeper characters will see their proper items after logging into the game world. We apologize for today’s troubles. Players who have made purchases from the LOTRO Store after 7:00 AM Eastern Time on the worlds destroyed today will have their purchases automatically refunded within the next 24 hours. If you’ve already claimed your 15th Anniversary gifts, you’ll get them again the next time you log in.
Although the rollback appears to mean 7am yesterday April 20th. But now everything should be fine.
The Yondershire is a significant update, not only for the 15th anniversary celebrations, but also for the eponymous new chapter of The Shire that accompanies it. The Yondershire is a northern area in an area rich in scrub and moorland in a less welcoming part of the country. That means those who choose to live up there in this more uncomfortable part of the Shire have their reasons.
While this was no doubt frustrating, there’s a lot in store for players with this update. All original content and expansions up to Helm’s Deep and Level 95, races like the High Elves and Beornings, and other content has been added for free enjoyment for all players.
For more information about the update, see the notes below The Lord of the Rings Online.
