The M11 was closed in both directions near Gorey after a two car collision

A section of the M11 is closed in both directions after a two car collision between Gorey and Enniscorthy.

The Garda spokesman has confirmed that emergency services are on site.

“Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending to the scene of two traffic accidents that occurred today on the southbound M11,” the spokesman said.

“The M11 has been closed in both directions between junctions 23 and 24 while the crime scene is attended to.

“As emergency services are still present, no further information is available at this time.”

Gardaí said road users should expect delays and local diversions are in place.
