Separate murder inquiries were launched after the bodies of two men were found 30km apart in Meath.
ardaí are investigating whether a man who died after a severe attack was killed elsewhere before his remains were dumped on farmland.
The remains of the man were found wrapped in rug ashore in Belgree Lane, Kilbride, by a dog walker on Saturday afternoon.

They are in the process of formally identifying the victim.
The body was taken to the Whitehall Mortuary today for an autopsy by Dr. Margot Bolster was to be performed by the Office of the State Pathologist.
A Garda spokesman said the scene was preserved and examined by members of the Garda Technical Bureau.
“Gardaí in Ashbourne is continuing to investigate the death of a man whose body was found dead on Saturday 10th April.
“Gardaí investigators are asking for information. They are particularly attractive to anyone who traveled along Belgree Lane, Kilbride on Friday 9th or Saturday 10th December to report in. Drivers with dashcam footage of this location are asked to make these Gardaí available,” a spokesman said.
Meanwhile, detectives continue to question a woman regarding an unrelated incident in Navan.
Emergency services were alerted to an apartment building on Academy Street where the body of a man in his 40s was discovered.
It is understood the victim suffered obvious stab wounds and his body remained at the scene today as Gardaí conducted a technical investigation.
A woman in her 30s has been arrested in connection with the fatal incident and is being held at Kells Garda Station tonight under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
She can be questioned for up to 24 hours before being either charged or released from custody pending a file with the Public Prosecutor’s Office (DPP).
A Garda spokesman said: “The office of the state pathologist and the local coroner have been notified.
