Hearing a dog bark is annoying — but knowing that their owner is doing their best to calm them down makes it less of a nuisance.
A man shared his surprise after receiving a thoughtful letter from one of his neighbors who had recently adopted a seven-month-old husky.
So amused by her letter, he shared it to Reddit with the caption: “Just received this letter on my doorstep.
The letter begins: “Hello friend. My name is Blu and I’m your new neighbor. I’m so excited to meet you all and can’t wait to make friends with my peers in the neighborhood.

“I’m seven months old. I love to play and my favorite things to do are rub my stomach, run around the park and eat soil off my mom’s houseplants.”
The owner apologized for her pup’s nighttime barking and explained how Blu is still adjusting to her new home and routine.
“It’s very strange living in a different place and meeting so many new people every day,” the letter adds. “I’ve just started puppy school and am in the crate training phase so I guess you could say I’m a busy girl.
“My teacher says I’m doing very well. But sometimes I’m scared of being all alone in my box in this new house and I cry.
“I’m sorry if my noise kept you up at night. It’s only been a week since I moved to my new home and I’m trying to adjust to being alone in my box and it’s hard but I’m getting better every day.
“Soon I’ll be a big tough girl and not afraid to be alone anymore, so I hope we can still be friends.”
At the end of the letter it says: “My mother and uncle love me very much and I know that they only want what is best for me.
“I’m a good girl, even if I poop on the floor sometimes (who knew you shouldn’t do the business next to houseplants?).
“My mum told me to text her if there was an emergency but I don’t have thumbs so maybe you can text her for me?
“I look forward to meeting you and hope we can all become friends. Sincerely, Blu the husky.”
While most users praised the owner for her adorable letter, others pointed out that this could be a perfect opportunity for the man to get to know the owner “on a different level.”
One user simply said, “How I met your mother.”
Another user added, “I think the letter is great and hopefully you and Blu can become friends! I found the letter quite thoughtful.”
A third user said: “My old neighbors dropped by a nice bottle of whiskey and a packet of earplugs.”
