WORKING hard, complaining… harder?
A man who claims to have worked for Amazon has taken to social media to explain why you shouldn’t work for the company. Apparently, they were too strict.
Man posted a video in which he added his personal story to another user’s Amazon video.
“Don’t work at Amazon, it’s really a waste of your time,” he said harshly.
He claims that Amazon’s TOT policy, or Task Off Time policy, means “if you’re off duty for more than five minutes, your supervisor has the right to fire you on the spot.”
His anti-Amazon comments continued, as he stated: “The computer you work with literally records your time, which means if it sees that you haven’t scanned something in years minutes, it will report you to the supervisor.”
Amazon is known for its quick, two-day Prime delivery service, so it’s important that they work hard at all times to ensure customers receive prompt and accurate delivery.
The man also claims that Amazon’s shifts range from 10-12 hours, and you have to keep trying.
Allegedly, employees were given a 15-minute break and a half-hour break during their shift.
“I was so tired, I just knelt for five minutes and I got in trouble with a supervisor,” he said.
The Sun has reached out to Amazon for comment but has not received any comment at the time of publication.
Many users trolled him in the comments of the video because of his long list of complaints, implying that he was just a lazy employee.
One commenter said: “Hahaha. Man, Amazon is the easiest job you can do and I think you’re just lazy. I’ve been working there for 3 years now.”
Others wrote things like: “Imagine you have to do the work you’re getting paid for” or “Damn, it’s like you’re working.”
