The model says low-rise jeans are making a comeback as she dazzles in fashion basics

Taya Christian flaunted her figure in a pair of low-rise jeans after claiming the fashion staples are “making a comeback” – and people say she looks “amazing”.

Denim is one of those timeless fashion pieces that you can keep in your closet for years and never go out of style when you decide to wear it for a trip to the shops.

But while the concept of jeans never goes out of style, different cuts are popular at different times as people swap skinny jeans for flares and ditch boyfriend jeans for mom jeans.

As well as the cut of your jeans, the waist height – or “rise” – is also influenced by popularity, and according to a model on Instagram, 2022 is the year of the low-rise jean, reports the Daily Star.

The waist-skimming pants were the pinnacle of fashion back then, and while many of us have transitioned to the infinitely more comfortable high-waisted look, Taya Christian has claimed that low-rise jeans are “making a comeback.”

Taya, who has over 1.6million followers on Instagram under the username @thedoctorbae, recently showed off her figure in a pair of white jeans after initially voicing concerns about donning the bottom neckline as a “curvy girl”.

But the US star is known for her body positive posts and said she was amazed at how well the crisp white jeans fit and flattered her figure in all the right places.

She wrote: “So apparently low rise jeans are back? OK, but listen to me…

“I was a little nervous about jumping on the trend as a curvy girl UNTIL I found these little gems from @torrid! They’re a straight fit with a medium rise and girl, they carried on like BUTTA! [sic].”

Taya’s fans were also stunned by the look, with many telling her she looked “amazing” in her outfit, which was completed with a beige crop top and matching peep toe heels.

One person said, “Okay, these mid rise jeans are workable, they fit you like a glove! You look amazing baby!”

While another added: “Speechless! Not only do you look absolutely stunning, but the energy in this picture is EVERYTHING.”

And a third remarked: “This look is so cute!”

Several other commenters were also inspired to try low-rise and mid-rise jeans themselves after seeing Taya’s post as it encouraged her to be bolder.

Someone said, “I have to see this! I find low-rise jeans scary. You look good girl!”
