Photographing a sunset over the water is an essential part of a vacation for many travelers, along with capturing their feet while sunbathing in the sand.
But some beaches attract more of this behavior than others.
Their beach photos and hashtags on Instagram were analyzed to find the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, according to the number of posts people shared.
LuxuryHotel.com revealed the beaches with the most Instagram posts and placed them based on the length of a stretch of sand, to find out which beach received the most ‘posts per meter’.

1. Paradise Beach, Thailand
Coming in at number one on the list is Paradise Beach in Thailand.
It has 5,966 posts per meter, which offers a big profit margin.
150m long beach, on the island Phuket, is the site of the infamous Full Moon Party, where locals, tourists and DJs party all night.
2. Kelingking Beach, Bali
In second place is Kelingking beach in Bali, with 3,644 Instagram posts per meter.
It is one of the shortest beaches on the list, only about 100m.
The beach is only accessible by boat so it’s very unique, making it even more popular with tourists and influencers.
3. South Beach, Miami
In third place is Miami’s South Beach with 2,117 posts per meter on Instagram.
At two miles long, South Beach is significantly longer than the top two beaches on the list.
It is a popular destination with locals and tourists and is a major entertainment destination with hundreds of nightclubs, restaurants, shops and hotels.
4. Bondi Beach, Sydney
Fourth on the list is Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia with 2,075 posts per meter.
According to reports, more than 2.7 million people visit the beach every year.
At just over half a mile in length, the number of visitors it receives is immense for its size.
The beach is best known for its surf culture, but is also home to some wildlife.
Schools of whales and dolphins have been sighted in the bay during the migration months, and sometimes fairy penguins are seen swimming within inches.
5. Ponta Negra Beach, Brazil
And making the top 5 is Ponta Negra Beach in Brazil.
The beach is two and a half miles long and has 1,845 Instagram posts per meter.
It is home to Morro do Careca, a large sand dune and landmark of the city of Natal.
The sandy beach is lined with tents serving food and drink, and colorful fishing boats are often seen in the water.
