An expectant mother was left with stitches after her first ultrasound as it didn’t come out as expected and her baby looked a bit scary.

Tasmin Stenhouse, 25, went for a scan when she was almost five months pregnant and was excited to see her baby’s face for the first time.

But that excitement soon turned to shock when the black-and-white image revealed the baby had a creepy skull for a head and seemingly no facial features.

Tasmin showed her partner the picture and he burst out laughing and now the two have welcomed their daughter into the world and thankfully “she doesn’t look scary”.

Tasmin, from Dunfermline, Scotland, said: “It was at the NHS appointment where they confirmed the gender that we got the scan photo where the skull appeared.

“It was one of the first clear images we had of her – I showed it to my partner and his reaction was to burst out laughing.”

The couple, who have since had the baby – a healthy tot named Jura, aged two months – said she has no demon heads or skull-like features.

“I had the baby, she was born on February 12,” new mom Tasmin said. “She doesn’t look scary — she’s beautiful.”

Meanwhile, for a mom-to-be, her first scan is unforgettable as her husband made a slight mistake with a comment he made.

While he definitely had a hand in delivering the baby, he stole her thunder big time — and then continued digging a small hole.

The couple were at an ultrasound appointment recently when his wife, who is seven months pregnant, became emotional as she watched their baby on the screen.

“My wife started crying and I comforted her as she said the words, ‘I can’t believe I’m making a human,'” the father-to-be continued Reddit.

“I continued to comfort her, but I waited a few minutes and, once the technique was gone, gently reminded her that we’re both parents, not just her,” he continued.

“I also told her that it is not correct to say that she ‘makes’ the baby on her own since I provided half of the genetic material.”
