The new trailer for Final Fantasy 16 is here – and it’s in the final stages

FINAL Fantasy 16 is out in less than a year, and we’ve heard very little about what’s in store for one of the most popular series of all time.

However, every time we take a peek at the upcoming RPG, we’re stunned by what we see.

Today was no different as fans were happy with what the latest trailer, “Ambition,” had to show.

Ambition shows us the five main factions that will be the focus of the upcoming Final Fantasy, which will fight each other throughout the story.

It also gave us a disappointingly vague release date, but at least it’s more than what we knew beforehand.

The five factions include: Rosaria, which looks very much like your traditional-style, always-sunny fantasy kingdom.

The Holy Realm of Sanbreque, where all live deep in the ice and strive to conquer more fertile lands.

The Dhlamenkian Republic, which lies in a harsh desert.

The Iron Kingdom, which seems to serve as the obviously evil faction in the game.

The final region, the Kingdom of Waloed, appears to be shrouded in mystery.

Warring nations are a staple of the genre, but rarely do we see five fighting at once, which seems like a narrative challenge.

However, Final Fantasy isn’t really known for its straightforward and understandable plots, so this one could fit in well here.

We also saw some flashy, over-the-top combat sequences involving god-like powers and summons.

The difference this time is that the summons, dubbed “Beasts of Great Power,” appear to drain the user’s health.

We’ve seen quite a few boss fights appearing in the game, with an apparent focus on one-on-one combat.

Game Director Hiroshi Takai ended the trailer with a few words on development.

He said: “The team has given their full attention to debugging and final adjustments.

“Now that things are coming together, the game is becoming something very special.”

We’ll have to wait a while to see it for ourselves, as the trailer ended by announcing a Summer 2023 release date.
