The new WhatsApp update adds a clever trick to HIDE your activity from friends

WHATSAPP is planning another new feature to make sharing photos a lot easier – while hiding them from contacts you’d rather not.

Tests for a new version of the app show that you may soon be able to add others to any media you want to send within a chat.

From there, you can choose to share it with everyone, or keep it secret and only send it to a select few.

Alternatively, you can also exclude people from the reception.

And this is just the beginning of a major revamp that’s about to happen in the app.

The camera feature already allowed you to choose who you send media to.

But acc WABetaInfothe camera icon at the bottom will disappear, which is why we may find it in this new location.

The reason the camera is going is that WhatsApp needs space for its new Communities tab.

Meta-owned WhatsApp recently unveiled the new feature, which is like a giant “group” for your existing groups.

Groups are one of the most popular ways to chat within Facebook’s own app.

But having multiple groups can be chaotic at times — and hard to keep track of.

People can also get updates sent to the community and easily browse smaller discussion groups.

The new feature will come with tools for admins, including the ability to send announcement messages to everyone at once and give them control over which groups can be included.

It will be especially helpful for organizations like schools, clubs and nonprofits, as it allows them to communicate securely, WhatsApp officials say.
