The newly launched app empowers consumers to make more sustainable food choices

An app designed to help consumers make informed decisions about the environmental impact of their weekly grocery shopping recently celebrated its launch.
Sustained Choice was created to empower people to become more conscious consumers by empowering them with reliable, trustworthy and accurate information. By using the information provided by the app, consumers can make positive purchasing decisions to support the environment while reducing the global impact of food production.
Sustained is dedicated to bridging the gap between wanting to buy food that’s better for the planet and having the right information to make those informed decisions. By analyzing a product’s various life stages, the intuitive platform provides shoppers with at-a-glance information on how a given product is performing across seven key impact areas, including land and water use, ocean pollution and global warming, and assigns it a score that reflects it enabling consumers to safely choose lower-impact foods.

The platform was officially launched this February, with most UK grocery retail products supported by the platform.
