The next update to Halo Infinite will bring the tank gun back into the campaign

Halo Infinites The buggy and overpowered “tank gun” will be added back to the game’s campaign in an upcoming update, developer 343 Industries announced on Friday.
The Tank Cannon is an extremely powerful weapon – essentially a portable version of a Scorpion tank’s cannon with unlimited ammo – and it’s popular with speedrunners and serves to make the game much easier. But even if you need to know exactly where to look to find the weapon (which, by the way, is invisible), gloriole That’s what Senior Community Manager John Junyszek said in April 343 would remove the “tank gun bug”. alongside the game’s second season, which kicked off on May 3rd. This decision wasn’t very popular in the community, and it seems there has been enough backlash that 343 has decided to bring back the tank gun.
343 will also once again add some skill jumps to the game’s multiplayer maps. The difficult jumps (like the “pizza” jump) might give players an edge in a heated battle, but it seems they did so in a way the developers didn’t intend.
“We originally determined that these jumps fell into a number of categories: locations where the environment poorly communicated the game world’s traversal options, locations that created an imbalance in combat, or a combination of both,” Junyszek said on Friday in the Halo waypoint forums.
343 made some adjustments that removed some skill jumps with the Season 2 patch, but the community outcry was loud enough that 343 plans to add many of them back. “Players have made it clear that our analysis of these jumps was spot on and we appreciate the feedback,” Junyszek said.
Junyszek hinted last week that 343 Industries is considering changes in response to player feedback after the start of the season. “We’ve seen feedback on changes that have impacted various multiplayer jumps and campaign speedrun strategies,” Junyszek said on May 5. “We’re not at the point where we can promise anything yet, but want to be transparent and say we take the feedback seriously and are exploring options internally.”
Halo Infinite creative director Joseph Staten also acknowledged the complaints. “Hey Spartans, this week has been a bumpy one,” Staten said. quoting Junyszek. “That was definitely not our goal.”
Junyszek didn’t give an exact date for the new update on Friday, but it sounds like it could arrive soon. “Our team has been working hard to get as much as possible into this update as quickly as possible, but there are a few more steps we need to take before we can release it,” he said. “We will share more about the exact release date of this update over the next few days.”
The reversals are just the latest speed bumps for Halo infinity, which has had a rocky run since its launch late last year. And we will wait a while for some core features to be added to the game. 343 announced last month that it is alignment a late August release for online campaign co-op and a September release for a Forge mode open beta.
