Office’s Lucy Davis deadlifts for birthday workout routine

The Office star Lucy Davis looked incredible in a new workout photo she shared on Instagram.

But she joked that fans should “send help” after her personal trainer brother Jake put her through her paces.

The actress shared a snap of herself lifting weights with her 794,000 followers and wrote: “55 pound one arm deadlift. I can’t get up from my chair. Send help #weightlifting #strengthtraining #womenlifting @jakebodyupgrade.”

Lucy, who rose to fame as Dawn Tinsley in Ricky Gervais’ BBC comedy The Office and is the daughter of comedian Jasper Carrott, now lives in LA.

In recent weeks, she has been sharing pictures and videos of herself as she embraces a healthier lifestyle.

A post from February – the day she turned 49 – featured her weightlifting.

But even though it was her birthday, Lucy said brother Jake didn’t go easy on her with her training.

She wrote: “Sister + birthday = certainly less reps? I saw the evil glint in his clown eyes as he casually made me lift 95 f***ing pounds #revingeisgoingtobemine.”

Lucy has previously opened up about how much her younger brother Jake has helped her over the past few years.

“He picked me up at some of the most difficult times of my life. I’m so lucky to have the family I have and the fact that Jake lives four blocks from me makes me even happier.

Some of the tough times Lucy references include her battle with bulimia, which she has been open about.

She said this was worst when she divorced fellow actor Owain Yeoman in 2011.

“In my 30s, I would have hated looking like that,” she said The Telegraph. “I probably wouldn’t have gone out much. I went on a diet for a week and then ate all the foods I hadn’t eaten in the previous seven days in a single day.

“That period of eating and cleaning was at its worst when my marriage ended.”

Lucy has never spoken out about what caused the marriage breakup and says she “never will”.

Her illness led her to join Overeaters Anonymous — and while she’s much better these days, it remains a part of her life.

She shared, “I realized that all eating disorders aren’t necessarily about how you look. It’s about something much more fundamental.

“Like any addiction, I suppose. For example, it’s not that you have a drinking problem, it’s that you have a problem about why you’re drinking. For me, a cycle of vomiting and starvation was my solution.”

Since moving to Hollywood in 2004, Lucy’s acting work has been sporadic until recent years.

She starred as Aunt Hilda Spellman in The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina before landing a role as Etta Candy in the 2017 Wonder Woman film – one of the top-grossing films of the year.

She will next star in the upcoming US comedy series Amy from Amarillo, which will air on Disney.
