TV presenter Jermaine Jenas tested positive for Covid, meaning viewers can expect another lineup this week on The One Show.
Former professional soccer player, 39, is scheduled to host today’s episode of BBC A show, but instead fans were greeted by Angellica Bell and Lauren Laverne.
Sharing the news, Lauren said: “Covid is back in the news today. Boris Johnson has just announced all restrictions are being lifted in the UK. However, in our team we spoke about the fact that Jermaine tested positive. Flipping heck.”
She added: “So he won’t be here for the rest of the week. Get well soon man.”
Jermaine has played for Spurs and Newcastle and is now a popular BBC presenter and TV pundit.
Last Thursday, Rylan Clark co-hosted with Alex, as he addressed recent worries about his health, admitting that although he’s had a “bad time” lately, he’s feeling better now that he’s back at work.

This is not the first time the lineup has changed on The One Show due to Covid-19. Back when the pandemic started in March 2020, Alex, who had been on the show since 2010, was forced to her presentation while Matt Baker is self-isolating.
Matt, however, was able to emerge from his living room.
Before The One was broadcast this afternoon, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the removal of the remaining Covid restrictions.
The free test mode is set to stop working as of April, except for the most vulnerable modes.
