The Overwatch 2 PvP Closed Beta is scheduled for April 26th

Blizzard has announced a first date surveillance 2 closed beta that will test the game’s PvP functionality.

As previously reported, the closed beta will go live on April 26th and will feature a large panel of testers who will be asked to provide gameplay feedback. The goal of this phase is to test new features, content, and systems before future tests stress test servers with a broader player base.

The closed beta will include 5v5, the new hero Sojourn, four new maps, the new push mode, hero reworks and a new ping system.

If you haven’t already signed up for the beta, you can sign up here.

Testers are selected based on a variety of factors, including region, when you signed up, and your computer hardware specifications. If selected, you must own a copy of Overwatch 1 to access the first beta.

If you are selected to participate, you will receive an invitation via the email address associated with your account. A set number of invites wasn’t provided, but Blizzard said if it determines more players are needed to test new features or keep games running smoothly, more players will be added from the opt-in pool.

While this test is only open to PC users, Blizzard plans to include console players in future betas.
