In order to fool people, the driver put the charging cable under the hood of the truck as if charging.
From afar, it might fool people into thinking the truck is charging, but an eagle-eyed person clearly wasn’t fooled.
While many US states can get you fined for blocking EV charging stations with internal combustion engine cars, Alaska doesn’t.
It is estimated that currently less than 1% of cars in Alaska are electric vehicles.
The company behind these chargers, ChargePoint, typically charges $18 (£15) an hour for electric vehicles to remain in bays once fully charged.
The truck driver clearly avoids this charge and faces no consequences for his actions, being in Alaska at all.
People reacted angrily to the cheeky truck driver’s antics.
One said: “Well not surprising that it’s a 4-door that does that.
“He probably thought he owned the libraries.”
While another said, “Sigh, *takes out the key*”
