The Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Team Developing, with plans to push towards Alpha this year

Manufacturer’s January letter to Pantheon: Rise of the Fall launched and the Visionary Realms team is growing with the goal spend 2022 moving to alpha stage for games.

The team added a new concept artist as well Prepare for a larger expansion. For now, there are updates on what the team has been working on to perfect the game. They are converting the existing system to HDRP and the QA team is planning to test the HDRP client.

There is also a Road to Alpha The progress stream talks about the team’s location, some videos and photos showing the original trees and foliage as well as information about the network update, which will also allow them to create and fine-tune all the layers. This thread also shows the material library for metal as the foundation they are building on What will the crafting system be. The developers pointed to the different variations between metallic materials and said they would make sense and that different types would be found across the planet’s environments. That’s the first category, but we’ll see the same for leather, fabric and other materials according to their plan.

Also in January, there was a Q&A session with QA lead Kim Morrison talking about what it means to have a new HDRP build coming out. With progress being made, they are currently in the stage of writing test plans for each of the major regions and systems. Once the HDRP build is done, they’ll continue with a lot of the new tech and other plans they’ve kept. Some of these were mentioned in the stream and other developer updates, like terrain streaming and other features
