The plaintiff in the Benjamin Mendy case says she had no sexual contact with England star Jack Grealish

A woman who claims she was raped by Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy has told police she had no sexual contact with team-mate Jack Grealish.

England international Grealish, 27, was among the party-goers at Mendy’s villa in Prestbury, Cheshire, in August last year when the 17-year-old complainant said she had been attacked by Mendy, 28, and was co-accused by Louis Saha Matturie, 41. .

Mendy and Matturie are on trial at Chester Crown Court where they are contesting multiple sex offenses against a number of young women.

Last week, the court heard the 17-year-old tell police that a 23-year-old woman, who also claims Matturie raped her, told her that night that she had had sex with Grealish.

On Monday, in further police interrogations, she said that Matturie had also mentioned the woman to her
“been dating” with the former Aston Villa winger.

Three or four of Grealish’s friends from Birmingham came to the party, having previously arrived in a taxi following a Range Rover in which Grealish was a passenger, she said.

Grealish praised her “beautiful eyes” as she entered the villa’s swimming pool and he exited. She said she replied, “Thank you.”

She later saw Grealish “falling asleep” in the house. She told investigators, “I remember he was quite drunk.”

The woman said she hadn’t met Grealish before and only “knew about him straight from TV.”

She said the footballer and his friends did nothing that made her uncomfortable.

She confirmed to police that she had no sexual contact with Grealish.

The detective asked, “Have you told anyone since that night if you’ve had physical contact with them?”

“No,” she replied.

The court heard this days before Matturie’s wife was invited to watch a Manchester City game from a private box.

Mendy denies seven counts of rape, one count of attempted rape and one count of sexual assault against six young women. Matturie, from Eccles, Salford, denies six counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault involving seven young women.
