The promising Brighton defender has signed a contract extension

ALBION have confirmed that men’s Under-21 defender Ben Jackson has signed a new contract that runs until June 2024.

The centre-back has been a regular for the U18 side since joining from Watford in 2020.

Jackson even made his Premier League debut in January this year in a 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Upon signing his new contract, Jackson said: “I am delighted to have extended my contract.

“I feel like I’m making really good progress and have really enjoyed my two years here so far.

“The facilities and coaching here have been brilliant, which I think is helped by the number of academy players who get a chance to train with the first team.

“Then there’s an opportunity for the guys who are working really hard to make their senior debut.”

The 18-year-old made 15 appearances in the Premier League South last season and was a regular captain of the Under-18s, who finished eighth last. The promising Brighton defender has signed a contract extension
