The Quarry is a brand new teen horror game from Supermassive Games

2K and Supermassive Games announced QuarryA new horror narrative game where every choice you make, big or small, shapes your story and determines who will live and who will die.

The game takes place on the last day of Summer Camp and the Hackett’s Quarry teen mentors decide to throw a party to celebrate. Unfortunately for them, things take a turn for the worse when bloody locals and something “much more sinister” turn a night of partying into a night of terror.

In The Quarry, you’ll play each of the nine camp counselors, and any of the characters can become the star of the show – or die before daylight arrives.

The game stars David Arquette (Scream), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Justice Smith (Jurassic World), Brenda Song (Dollface), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), Lin Shaye (A Nightmare on Elm), Street) ), and many more.

The Quarry is set to release on June 10 and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

For PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, The Quarry will be available in both physical and digital formats and will be optimized for next-gen consoles.

The Deluxe Edition will only be available in digital format for consoles and PCs. It includes the full game, an optional Gorefest Movie Mode, instant access to the Death Rewind system, Horror History Image Filter Packs, and 80s themed character costumes. The retro pack includes includes ’80s-inspired cosmetic costumes for playable characters. It will automatically be distributed in-game on or before July 8th.

This version comes with a Gorefest option in Movie Mode that lets you hit play and watch a horror, gory, and splashy version of The Quarry. For fans of junk food in the mill, you’ll find countless deaths, dismemberment, and buckets of blood waiting in this brutal option.

It also includes instant access to the Death Rewind system, a retry tool that usually unlocks after you’ve completed The Quarry’s first attempt. Here you can start the story with three chances to reverse the death of a playable character, giving you the chance to change fate and save them in the process – but with only three attempts again for each play. Just know that undoing one character’s ending can result in another character’s death.

There is also a Horror History Image Filter Pack. This allows you to tailor the aesthetic of the game to your liking by choosing from three cinematic visual filters, each recreating a different era and style of horror filmmaking. You can choose from 8mm-style film grain (Indie Horror), a classic VHS aesthetic (80s Horror), or a classic black and white cinematic filter (Classic Horror).

Purchase on PlayStation or Xbox offers both current and next generation versions of the game in the Deluxe Edition. It does not have persistent data saving and the multiplayer function is only available on the same generation of Xbox and PlayStation.
