Her Majesty is offering £30,000 to a painter and decorator to add some ‘decorative finishes’ to Buckingham Palace’s 775 rooms.

Depending on experience, the successful applicant could earn a salary of £30,000 for 40 hours per week.

For those interested, the deadline ends on April 3 – only a few weeks away.

The position is part of a £369million palace refurbishment, funded by the taxpayer and due to be completed in 2027.

The project has been criticized by many, with over 150,000 signing a petition asking the royal family to fund it themselves.

The job ad, which was posted on the Royal Household’s website, says: “It adds the decorative finishes that people will appreciate for years to come.
