‘The Queen stopped by for tea’ – Jess Redden shares snaps from her New York trip with Rob Kearney

Jess Redden told her that this week she had “one of the best” days of her life in New York City.

The pharmacist is currently exploring the Big Apple with her former rugby star husband Rob Kearney and took to Instagram on Wednesday to share some snaps from her trip so far.

“Apart from my wedding anniversary, my first day in New York City was one of the best days of my life. Here are a few snippets of how it went,” she told her followers.

The pair first had “amazing fun” at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum, with Jess posting a snap of her sitting behind Joe Biden’s desk in the Oval Office before snapping a selfie with Queen Elizabeth and Bruce Willis.

“I missed the trip to the White House so I flew to DC quickly to see POTUS. And it was crazy because then the Queen came over for tea,” she said.

Jess then caused some serious food envy from her followers by posting a photo of her cocktail and plate of tacos from Dos Caminos in Times Square, followed by some sweet treats, which she and Rob enjoyed on a “little dessert tour.”

“The chocolate mousse and oreo cheesecake were [100 emoji]…And after two slices of cake, it was off to Krispy Kreme for a smashed donut,” she wrote.

“For the first time in I don’t know how long I’ve eaten two cheesecakes followed by a donut and felt nothing but complete contentment and happiness.”

After that, the two headed to the Broadway Comedy Club and Jess said she was let down the whole time: “I don’t know if it was the tequila or the comedians, but I’ve never been at a show that much laughed.”

Before hitting the hay, she professed her love for New York and shared her hopes for the trip, explaining that it’s the city Rob suggested to her in December 2019.
