The Queen under ‘medical supervision’ after royal doctors worry about her health

The Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral after doctors raised concerns about her health, Buckingham Palace has said.

A palace spokesman said: “Following further checks this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended that she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and in Balmoral.”

The 96-year-old monarch’s latest backlash will spark fresh fears about her health the day after she was pictured in a historic audience with Liz Truss when she named her the new prime minister.

Yesterday, a palace spokesman said: “After a busy day yesterday, Her Majesty took the doctors’ advice this afternoon to rest.

“It means that the Privy Council meeting scheduled to take place tonight will be rearranged.”

The Queen is staying at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeenshire and the latest advice does not include hospitalisation.

The nation’s longest-reigning monarch has ongoing mobility problems and was set to practically hold the Privy Council on Wednesday. The Queen under ‘medical supervision’ after royal doctors worry about her health
