The Queen’s “favourite” grandchild will reportedly be paying tribute to Prince Philip with a touching tribute to the monarch’s platinum anniversary.
Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, 18, will drive the Duke of Edinburgh’s carriage at the Royal Windsor Horse Show centenary celebrations.
The celebrations will pay special tribute to the Queen and Duke’s tremendous contribution to the world of equestrian sport.
The gesture will be particularly poignant because Philip, who died on April 9, 2021 and began driving carriages in the 1970s, taught his granddaughter the sport.

She is the granddaughter of the Queen, 96, and her late husband Philip.
Prince Edward is the youngest child of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh and Louise is his eldest child with Sophie.
Lady Louise was born on November 8, 2003 and has one brother, 13-year-old James, Viscount Severn. She is currently 16th in line to the throne.

It’s obvious that she and Prince Philip were close, but sources also claim she is the Queen’s “favourite” grandchild.
A royal source previously told The Sun: “The Queen loves the fact that Louise and James are enjoying their time at Balmoral and she has become particularly close to Louise who appears to have become her favorite grandchild, followed closely by James.”

It is hoped that despite her recent mobility issues, the Queen will be able to attend the final evening of the horse show, which will be broadcast live on ITV on Sunday May 15.
The gala, taking place in the private grounds of Windsor Castle, will culminate with a special tribute to the Queen’s love of horses.
BAFTA winning director of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Simon Brooks-Ward, said The Telegraph that while the Queen is famous for her love of horse racing, little is known that she also has an eclectic mix of horses and ponies.
He said: “The Queen has always championed rare breeds. She was the best ambassador to increase the races in number and importance.
“There is a huge body of horses and ponies that the general public may not or will not recognize, but in the Queen’s 70th Jubilee year we want to recognize and celebrate them.”
