The Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips introduces her to a new girlfriend after divorce

The Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips has introduced his new girlfriend to his grandmother – despite the controversy over her being married.

He showed off his partner Lindsay Wallace to the Queen after he threw a shooting party at Windsor. We’ve revealed how he drove to Scotland to meet her while locked – the meeting was near her marital home.

Royal insiders say introducing their new partner to the Queen is an important step and signing the couple is taken very seriously – although the wedding bells may be muted.

A source told The Sun: “The Queen is one of the most important people in Peter’s life so it was absolutely right for him to introduce Lindsay to her. It was a very warm meeting and the Queen was clearly delighted to meet someone who made Peter so happy.

“Despite the fact that he is divorced from Autumn, they have two children together and their relationship is still extremely warm. Both are moving on with their lives and accepting that the other will find someone else to be romantic.

“It may still be early days but Peter wants his grandmother to see him happy. It’s a clear sign that Lindsay is now fully welcome into The Firm and an important first step should they decide to get married. The Queen just wants Peter to be happy.”

Peter and Autumn announced last February that they had broken up the previous year. They amicably resolved their divorce last June after 12 years together and have two children, 11-year-old Savannah and 9-year-old Isla.

Last March, The Sun revealed how police were giving the businessman “advice” after he drove 460 miles from his home in Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire. He arrived at Lindsay’s £475,000 home on Scotland’s east coast at the height of the government’s regulatory restrictions.

Lindsay is a classmate of Zara, 39, at Gordonstoun, the £40,000-a-year school in Aberdeenshire, where Peter is several years older than them.

A moment of guests leaving Zara’s 2011 wedding to rugby star Mike Tindall captured Lindsay smiling in a cream coat and pink hat.

Phillips and Lindsay are said to have become close after a recent school reunion.
After leaving school, Lindsay worked in a health food store for a while. In recent years, she’s been a stay-at-home mom.

Phillips, son of Captain Mark Phillips, ex-husband of Princess Anne, is 17th in line to the throne. He is often described by those in the royal family as the Queen’s “favorite grandson”.

Lindsay was also pictured in November while being taken to Windsor for the double christenings of Mike and Zara Tindall’s son Lucas, and Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s son in August.

Peter then hosted a shooting party at Windsor Great Park, where Lindsay was officially introduced to the Queen. A spokesman for Peter Phillips said: “Peter attended a private event in Windsor.”
