The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades tied the knot at the ceremony in Barbados

The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades is married to fiancee Lisa Zbozen, describing the day as “perfect”.

The couple exchanged vows in front of 15 guests on the grounds of a beach villa in Barbados on November 22.

For the afternoon ceremony, Zbozen wore a Romantic Dreams Bridal wedding gown in Birmingham while Blades wore a black linen suit.

The furniture restorer and presenter, who was previously married, told Hello! magazine: “One word summed up the day: perfect.

“We have the closest family there, the weather is stable and everything is going very well.”

Fitness trainer Zbozen adds: “When you reach a certain age, you realize what really matters in the day – having people around you love you for who you are.

So we made the day our day.

Blades said he was in tears during the ceremony.

“I think the most emotional thing for me was actually saying the vows,” he said.

“It’s like I have tunnel vision and I can only see Lisa there.

“And to be honest, that’s when it really hit me. I was like, ‘Now we’re actually married!’

“That was the only time I was really emotional.”

During the ceremony, the couple exchanged rings designed by jewelry expert Richard Talman of The Repair Shop, based on the Egyptian style with imperfect circles and containing each other’s gems.

“I really don’t want a perfect wedding ring because I think nothing is perfect,” says Zbozen.

“It’s also more personal and more loved and cared for.”
