The Rings of Power have a dose of game of thrones effect

Anyone familiar with Middle-earth lore knows that Pharaoh was not a nice guy at all, and that has become pretty obvious to those who watch the show. He’s shown unsettling anti-goblin sentiment, and overall seems more conspiratorial than the rest of these mostly heroic characters. But the moment feels like a turning point for his character, much like the part of “Game of Thrones” where Cersei Lannister describes the bloody quest for power that has given the series its title. He told his son that he was monitoring the situation, but then calmly, coldly revealed his plan to dominate the elves and men. He argued that if he could attract the small, he and his allies would ultimately benefit economically when trade was affected by the war.

Like everything in “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” the detail of Pharaoh slowly becoming the villain is sure to piss some fans of JRR Tolkien’s work, though. it has been discussed in texts including “Unfinished Tales” and “History of Middle-earth.” I admit I was initially wary of the show’s leanings toward court drama, by because while politics is certainly part of Middle-earth history, I’m one of the many fantasy fans who still get tired of “Game of Thrones”. So the man’s misdeeds and shiny, beautiful world-building in the show’s first few episodes are really like a balm for the soul that once bewitched “Thrones” of I.
